Safestyle UK, the country’s largest replacement windows and doors retailer, are releasing a new marketing campaign clearly outlining the environmental benefits of their PVCu double glazed replacement windows and doors and the impressive cost savings customers can experience through making their homes more energy efficient.
Safestyle UK, which is part of the Style Group, has in recent years been one of the most memorable advertisers on television and radio with celebrity-fronted and award-winning campaigns led by comedians, Cannon and Ball, and the infamous “Window Man” Geoff Brown. Now, to support the Government’s on-going environmental preservation campaigns, it will introduce a new series showing how, by using Safestyle windows and doors, householders could increase their homes energy efficiency and by doing so keep warm, save money, add value to their properties and at the same time make a satisfying contribution to the environment.

As a result new home information packs will become the norm from June 1 this year and every home will have energy ratings together with an energy performance certificate. This will be of obvious importance when it comes to buying and selling any property.

From 1 June 2007 as part of the Home Information Pack for houses that are being bought and sold, there will be a compulsory and independently assessed Energy Performance Certificate.
These certificates are commissioned by the seller (or their agent) from an accredited list of Energy Assessors, who will visit the property to collect all relevant data, including the date, construction and location of the house and relevant fittings, such as heating systems, insulation and double glazing, before issuing the certificate.
