Eco-friendly Bathrooms
Demand for eco-friendly products has never been so high. Whether it’s cars, food or bathroom products, consumers are speaking with their wallets, and environmentally friendly products are becoming more and more popular. The fact the eco-friendly usually means money-saving as well, has added to the popularity, as in today’s economic climate consumers are much more conscious about saving money. Whether it’s water-saving taps or shower heads, there is plenty of choice for the eco-friendly bathroom consumer. Electric showers can be an economical choice for many homes as they work independently from the household hot water system. By heating water on demand, the installation of an electric shower can mean that less energy is used to heat stored water that could otherwise be left wasted.
Space Saving Storage
More and more homeowners are choosing to stay put rather than move house, and with families growing, space becomes a premium, particularly in the bathroom. Bathrooms in the UK are typically small rooms, and as a result, storage space is precious. Therefore, the demand for cleverly-designed, space saving bathroom cabinets is becoming much greater. Floating vanities are becoming popular, as they allow for storage underneath, or even lighting to make the room appear larger.
Add Some Art
Traditionally, bathrooms have been visually, quite sterile rooms of the home. However, as more and more homeowners become braver with their designs, they are increasingly looking for ways to make each room stand out and to add a bit of excitement. The hot and steamy conditions in bathrooms are not ideal for artwork, but there are printed glass screens which are waterproof and can withstand the humid conditions. Alternatively, eye-catching tile designs can be used to add a striking difference to a bathroom wall.

The desire for spa-like experiences at home is becoming much stronger amongst homeowners. Experiences from stays in hotels and health clubs have now made five star luxury much more commonplace, and homeowners are now wishing to emulate this sumptuousness in their own bathrooms. Heated towel rails, underfloor heating, ambient lighting, streamlined music and other high-tech advances are all now possible within home bathrooms. Digital showers that tell the user when the shower is ready to go, are the next step in luxury showering. Furthermore, extra luxury touches such as LED lit shower heads, lighted mirrors, as well as spa-like bottles, products and candles all add to the overall ambience.
